Biohazard Cleanup That Puts Safety First.
Biological contamination requires more than an ordinary cleaning service. Blood, bodily fluids, infectious materials and contaminated waste can create exposure risks long after an incident is over.
Not all contamination is visible, and cleaning what you can see does not necessarily make an area safe. Bloodborne pathogens, bacteria, bodily fluids and other potentially infectious materials can remain on surfaces, inside porous materials and in areas that standard cleaning products cannot adequately treat.
Biotech Recovery provides specialized biohazard cleanup for situations where biological materials need to be safely removed and the affected environment properly decontaminated. We assess the extent of contamination, establish appropriate containment, remove materials that cannot be salvaged, and clean and disinfect affected surfaces using professional methods and products.
Our work extends beyond homes. We assist business owners, property managers, healthcare-related facilities, municipalities and other organizations dealing with biological contamination. Whether the job involves an isolated blood spill, a contaminated workspace or a larger remediation project, we approach each situation with the same attention to safety, discretion and proper handling.
Serving Nassau County, Suffolk County and all five boroughs of New York City, our team is available around the clock. We arrive in unmarked vehicles, respect the privacy of everyone involved and take responsibility for the cleanup from initial assessment through final disposal.

What the job includes
Site Assessment and Containment
Before cleanup begins, we evaluate the affected areas and determine the appropriate remediation procedures. Containment measures are established to limit the potential movement of biological contaminants into unaffected rooms, surfaces or shared spaces.
Biohazard Removal
Blood, bodily fluids, contaminated debris and other hazardous materials are carefully collected and removed. Materials such as carpeting, padding, upholstery and sections of drywall may also need to be taken out when contamination has penetrated beyond the surface.
Surface Cleaning and Disinfection
Visible contamination is only part of the problem. We clean affected surfaces and apply appropriate professional disinfectants to address biological contamination, including areas that may have been exposed through contact or splashing.
Decontamination and Odor Control
When biological material has affected porous building materials or created persistent odors, additional treatment may be necessary. We address the underlying contamination rather than relying on fragrances or temporary odor masking.
Regulated Waste Handling
Biohazardous materials cannot simply be placed in ordinary garbage. We package, transport and arrange disposal of removed waste through appropriate permitted channels, following applicable requirements for the materials involved.
When to call us
- A blood spill has occurred. Blood has been left on floors, walls, furniture, equipment or other surfaces following an accident, injury or medical emergency.
- Bodily fluids have contaminated a property. Biological materials have affected a residential or commercial space and require specialized removal and disinfection.
- An infectious or potentially contaminated area needs attention. A property or workspace has been exposed to biological materials that may present an infection or exposure risk.
- A workplace incident has resulted in biological contamination. An employee, visitor or other individual has been injured, leaving blood or bodily fluids in an area that must be properly remediated before normal operations resume.
- Contamination has been discovered during a property inspection or cleanout. A landlord, property manager or building owner has identified biological waste, contaminated belongings or unsanitary conditions that require professional intervention.
- A general cleaning company has declined the job. The materials involved require specialized equipment, protective procedures and regulated disposal that fall outside the scope of ordinary janitorial or residential cleaning.
How we handle a biohazard cleanup
Initial Call and Project Assessment
Contact our team and explain what happened, what materials are involved and which areas are affected. We determine the urgency of the situation and coordinate an appropriate response.
Inspection and Remediation Plan
Our technicians evaluate the property, identify the extent of contamination and establish the necessary containment and removal procedures. We provide a written scope of work and pricing before proceeding.
Cleanup and Decontamination
We carry out the remediation, including hazardous material removal, cleaning, disinfection and any necessary odor treatment. Items that can be safely recovered are separated from materials that require disposal.
Final Review and Waste Disposal
Once the work is complete, we review the treated areas, arrange proper disposal of collected biohazardous waste and provide applicable documentation. The goal is to return the affected space to a condition suitable for its intended use.
