Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste, removed and accounted for.

Blood, sharps, chemicals, unlabeled drums, contaminated material. If you are not certain what it is or where it can legally go, that is exactly the right time to call.

Hazardous waste is defined less by how dangerous it looks and more by where it is allowed to end up. Material that seems harmless in a garage can be prohibited from curbside collection, and putting it there can create a liability for whoever owns the property. The safest first step is almost always to leave it where it is and have it identified.

Biotech Recovery identifies, segregates, packages, transports and disposes of hazardous and biohazardous waste for both residential and commercial properties, and hands over the documentation that shows where it went. That paper trail matters: it is what protects you if the disposal is ever questioned.

We handle blood and other potentially infectious material, needles and sharps, contaminated soft goods and building material, spoiled or contaminated stock, laboratory and workshop chemicals, and the unlabeled containers that turn up in basements, storage units and estates.

FAQ

Common questions

I do not know what this material is. Can you still take it?
Yes — that is a large part of the job. Do not open, decant or move unidentified containers yourself. Photograph them if it is safe to do so and call us.
Do you handle sharps found in a public or rental property?
Yes. Discarded needles in stairwells, gardens, parks and rental units are a routine call for us, and we will make the area safe as well as removing them.
Will I get proof of disposal?
Yes. Every job comes with documentation of what was collected and where it went, at no extra cost.
Is this a residential or commercial service?
Both. We work with homeowners, landlords, property managers, municipalities, contractors, retailers and healthcare facilities.
How is this priced?
By volume, waste class and access. We assess on site at no charge and give you a fixed price before any work starts.
